Hello to all- I have finally found a little time at work to post about our July 15th meeting.

We had one model this time: Becky, who started us off with several 5 minute poses. We then went to a 10, and then a couple of 20s. We had a nice long hour pose at the end again. We didn't actually start until around 1:00 because we were waiting on some of our members to arrive.

The artists in attendence this time were: Sam, Robert, Claire, Nina, and Diane. We were very glad to welcome Robert to our meeting!

Here are the specifics for the drawing-date on July 15th 2006 12:00-3:00 pm at Wake Forest.

We will be meeting, once again, in the "chandelier library" of Guy T. Carswell Hall (it's actually the sociology dept grad library or something). Most of you attending already know where that is, but for those of you who don't know, the attached map should show you. This "library" can be found on the second floor of Carswell Hall. Don't confuse it with the first floor, because there is a basement.

What To Bring:

Sketchbook, or loose paper
Charcoal, or soft lead pencil
Drawing board or something hard to lean your book on (we have tables, but you might want to move your art supplies for a different angle).

Official Date Announced!

I've finalized our drawing date for this month. It will be from 12:00 - 3:00 on July 15th (Saturday).

I'm still looking around for drawing space, but we may end up in the chandelier library - which those of you who attended last session, know is a pretty cool place.

I'm going to write up an official invitation to all of you soon, with a cool little "poster" like before.

Re-cap of May 21 2006 Meeting

Here's a re-cap of what we did May 21 2006.

We first did quite a few 5 minute poses with Sean as our model.
This was followed by a few 15-20 minute poses with Lizzie, Leah, and Holli.
We finished with an hour pose with Becky.

The artists that attended this meeting were:
Bea, Sam, Nina, Diane, Claire, and Sean doubled as a model and artist.

By request of the artists, I have not accredited any of the artwork posted to a particular artist.

I hope to see you all again at the next meeting. We might be welcoming Adam, Robert, and Josh to the next meeting. Let's all cross our fingers.

I scanned the photocopies of the pictures, and now I can post them. I think that I am going to attempt to post them in groups by model. I missing a few pictures of Becky, but they'll be posted later, and not that many of you stuck around for the hour long drawing.

The Society Finally Gets a Page

Hello to all my live-drawing "Chesney Wold" people. I have finally gotten us a blog, and plan to post the scans, of the photocopies, of the pictures done at our last meeting: May 21st.

I've been e-mailing people about a possible next meeting, and hope that everyone who came last time, will once again entrance us with their presence. Also, we should be welcoming some new members.
